Larry does not want to leave anything unturned with this project and after they finished last week doing the fitting, it was decided to flip the shell and clean up all the edges and prep the underside of the fiberglass.

Based upon Larry estimations we are about 4 weeks out from completion. The body is going into the paint booth on Monday. I think they are still waiting on a few straggler parts hopefully they arrive in time to maintain the timeline.

Our goal is to have it running for the January Dallas TCC meeting, since this will be the one-year anniversary of our first attended meeting in Dallas.

Now that Larry has finished Jacks car things should start moving very quickly with mine…assuming all the part show up.

Since Larry created the original plug he has decided to make a few modifications on how the car mounts to the chassis to make it easier to paint off the body (did I just hear moans from DB & JM?)

Since he is doing this he sent me a few pictures of them fitting the components and doing the “test” fit. This will eliminate any over spray and enable him to create a much better end product.

Jack’s Car is finally done… and shipped last week.

Larry just sent over some pictures of the car that I posted in the photo album.

I schedule another quick visit to Montana on October 8th to view the progress of the my car, see Jack’s and do some of the final fittings if it was far enough along. Well it turns out Jack’s car was just getting finished and my car is still waiting for a bunch of parts.

Here is a picture of my car with the front suspension hung.

Not a lot more has been done on the car, but since Jack’s is now officially done it will get a lot more attention…assuming the parts arrive in a timely matter so Larry is not waiting for stuff again.

Jack’s car looks awesome, the color is a dark green that almost looks black.

I also was able to take some “movies” of Jack’s car during one of my rides. It sounds and rides great. I cannot wait to get mine!

Larry is planning on getting the car done the first week of November…looks like Stacey is going to win the bet on the car… the kid will be here first.

I visited the JBL final assembly facility on August 18th and 19th in Dillon, Montana. I was able to visit with Larry Goins and get tour the facilities and play around with the car a little bit.

The picture below shows the car getting ready for installation of the suspension and some of the parts….

Jack’s car is getting very close, they are finishing up the primer and bodywork and should be getting the final paint see some pictures “Jack”

On Thursday we were able to sneak away for a little bit and do some four-wheeling in the mountains. What a blast! Now I know why Larry builds these cars up here and not San Diego. Check out the photo album “4 wheeling”
