Cobra’s in Montana

Well the cobra made it safely to Montana. Larry indicated to took four days round trip, a little longer than originally planned for. What is 2000 miles in a couple days? With LA traffic and going through a few mountain passes with a trailer has to be…less than fun (guess I have to keep this clean)

So Jack’s car is the one with a lot shorter time to completion (it looks almost done). This picture shows the side of the shop the cobra’s are on. Mine is on the right side and the chassis in the middle. Larry is going to be having all the fun. The good thing is he is not going to be know as the “Butcher” but the “pro”. I guess I can tell people I had some work done by a pro….hmmm.

This picture is a side view of the shop and shows some of the suspension has been done to the car (ok started). I am getting so anxious now I just want to take off a month and help Larry build the thing now. I think Dave Biele and John Marcey would tie me down and tell me just to say no…let the pro do it.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates

JBL to Montana

JBL to Montana

Yes the JBL is finally off the ground and moving to Montana. The frame and all the components have been completed and Larry Goins was down in Fallbrook on July 16, 2004 to trailer it up to the final assembly facility. From order to “stage 1” completion is very impressive, with the schedule Larry is hoping to complete the car this should be done soon.

Here is a picture of the Frame back from the power coaters. It looks awesome, Richard said it is even better in person as the picture does not do it all the justice.

Here is a picture of it loaded on the trailer headed to Montana. My car is on the top… the bottom car is Jack’s
