Week 19 Update
Well today June 10, 2004 we just had our “official” sonogram session. Stacey had the fun of drinking 32 oz of water and was told not to use the “facilities” until after it was completed…
As you can clearly see from the pictures it is a boy!

So now that I have a license to paint I have to assume I get to start tearing apart the room for the baby this weekend. I am still not sure which room it is going to be, but I have a feeling Stacey has her grand plan.
Stacey is measuring 19 weeks so she maybe due around the end of October…hopefully not the 28th :-)’
So now I will have someone to help wrench on the car when he gets older…
For those that have read Dilbert, Stacey hopes he does not have the “knack” as she believes engineers are born not made.
Anyway here are some more pictures; the quality is not good because the place we went to do not have a way to save to a disk…they actually looked at us weird for the request. Guess it is not a popular request here in Flower Mound

JBL Finally Ordered
Posted by Chris in Construction on June 8, 2004
Well I know lot of people cannot actually believe it but I finally placed the order for the JBL. After months of trying to figure out JBL, BDR, Superformance, ERA, etc…. I finally decided that the JBL is going to be the most fun.
I am having Larry with JBL build the car to a stage 3. The difference between the two builds are only 1 or 2 thousand different and knowing my schedule I would be lucky to finish it within a few years.
My original plan was to give the butcher aka Andy www.cobralads.com a run for his money and show how fast and error free a car could be build. Who and I kidding. As Stacey knows I typically get pulled off a project mid stream and have to resume weeks later and try to determine what I was actually trying to accomplish. The only way I could complete the project would be to take off a month and build the car, and why do I not think that would be possible.
Larry is going to be able to complete the car in 90 day after receipt of the stage 1 from the manufacturing facilities in San Diego. Larry is located in Montana, so it is not going to be as easy to pop in for a quick visit. Maybe he designed it that way
The color is going to be a Dark Gray (2003 Mustang) with a Dark Blue stripe. As my friend John Holmes likes to say it is going to pop yo!
The motor should be on order soon I am waiting back from both DSS and Keith Craft to determine which way to go looking for a 351w with about 500 hp. This car (and I) do not need an excessive amount of hp since it is so light it would be hard to actually get it all to the ground.
In the spirit of saying no to sixties technology this is going to also have a fuel injected motor using a manifold from Edlebrock and computer from Electromotive the T3.
So over the next few months I hopefully will be getting some good pictures of the car in the construction phase from the guys in San Diego (Dave & Richard) and when it arrives in Montana with Larry.
When Larry is done with the car he will ship it down to Texas to Specialty Cars of Texas and Jimmy is going to help me get the engine and electromotive system installed.
So if all goes well I hope to have it pull into my garage under its own power in mid October.
Stay tuned for the fun
Chris
